The Gas Game

This weekend, regular unleaded gas here went up to $1.089 per litre, which works out to $4.10 CDN per gallon ($3.60 US per gallon.)

I guess I'm lucky to only pay $2.79 a gallon
In one week we jumped up to $3.02/gal and most stations have only regular. When you can find premium, it goes for 3.23/gal.

highest thus far this year is $2.85 yesterday.

i drive over to idaho where its about 20 cents cheaper. i just fill up when i go over there to buy cigarettes, which are about $20 cheaper per carton, lol.

 what do folks who own hot rods do arround there?! My 280 z takes midgrade, and my Firebird 91 octane or HIGHER.
I'm not sure, but if they recently got a pay raise at their job, it pretty much goes to the oil "industry"! Yep....

WooHoo ! !

Search for a station then wait in line. Lucky my 300M adjusts to different octane fuels.

NOt sure if this is new news,
but in the country of

Venezuela ----

water costs more than gasoline.

I thought many would like to know that perspective everytime you go to the pumps. It gives you an outlook on how the world works, and if you are young, you may want to re-define your career options. >> petroleum (fuel, etc.) <<

The pharmecuetical industry is nice to look into also... WooHoo! :thm:

(I noticed how the prices on gas levelled off, there are no more posts on this thread.. another great marketing practice.. ... "[it's just nomal supply and demand stuff.." (sarcasm))

If you break it down, the oil companies aren't making all that much per gallon of gas. They're making something like $0.08/gal after refining, etc. The Fed. Government, makes about $0.59/gallon. Repeal that gas tax and we'd all be driving with cheap gas.

$3.15ish for regular and diesel around here.
