In one week we jumped up to $3.02/gal and most stations have only regular. When you can find premium, it goes for 3.23/gal.DirkW said:

I thought many would like to know that perspective everytime you go to the pumps. It gives you an outlook on how the world works, and if you are young, you may want to re-define your career options. >> petroleum (fuel, etc.) <<

If you break it down, the oil companies aren't making all that much per gallon of gas. They're making something like $0.08/gal after refining, etc. The Fed. Government, makes about $0.59/gallon. Repeal that gas tax and we'd all be driving with cheap gas.
