The little things in life.....

Getting up early to have my first cup of coffee, watch the sun rise, and get 30 minutes of peace before everyone else is up, and actually getting to do all three.

Having my 4 year old son and 8 year old daughter make me Valentine's - in any other month than February.
 
waking up to an unusually early alarm, and remembering I'm waking up early so that my daughter can call me :)
 
Waking up to a nice breeze coming in the window, and not hearing the construction workers across the street.


Gotta love how they basically all have to do with waking up lol.

For me the little thing that gives me the greatest rush in the morning is when my preschool age kids say they want to go to work with me.

The beauty is that I can actually do that since they sit and enjoy coloring or looking at the fish and then they go shopping with my wife when she shows up about an hour or so later.
 
Another simple thing is when my little girl hawk, my petite female chinese crested hairless makes it her duty to wake up the kids one by one, all the while looking at me to make sure it is ok for her to bother the sleeping kids. Truly a funny way to watch the morning start.
