im not a thief sorry...

if they make a mistake thats ok, but when u lie and cheat to get cheap prices thats just being a cheap *******.

im not cheap at all, i dont think being cheap is considered in this hobby! it isnt possible! however i remember the beggining at £5.75 for a red hermit crab.......i spent a few days wages and walked away with a bag of tiny crabs!!

so yeah, i think the trade is so over priced, that if a bargain comes my way, im guna get take it for ALLLLLLLLLLL i can!!

i laughed all the way to the car... tell me you wouldnt.

thieving is stickin em in my wifes handbag and walking out..............if he knew what he was doing....like most people.... he woulda said HEY NO! thats a £45 torch, but he didnt, if i was inexperienced, i wouldnt of known the difference....however i DID, and i took advantage....and HA, best trip there EVER!

Thieving is thieving in my eyes. Even if it is taking advantage of an unknowledgable employee. For every dollar that a local store looses to theft (of any form) it takes over 1000 worth of sales to make up that 1 dollar. (and that figure was from the 80's when I worked in public retail) Not to mention that they will have to increase the costs of their other items to cover the shrinkage that you have in your hands.. While I believe the store owner should have spent some time ensuring that his emplyees could tell a toadstool from a polyp.. I also believe what goes around comes around.

on the flip side of things. i had a low grade flower horn that was out growing my tank so i went to the lfs. And he said the flowerhorn was not worth much about 30 euro but wood not give cash but i could swop for fish of the same amount of money so i did .i went back about two weeks later he was selling that flowerhorn for 170 euro i felt like a right fool

Years ago I made the the mistake of exchanging something under warranty when I worked for an auto parts store simply because I was fairly new and did not know any better.
I got ripped up one side and down the other by my boss and had to cover the store cost of my mistake. Kinda sucked.

i feel sorry for the guy, his boss is gonns have serious words with him and for all you know he could have started there that very day. if you knew better you should have helped him/her. working in retail sucks as it is.
