What is the most boring fish in your tank? I have to say its my African Butterfly. Smart, comes up to the front of the tank when I open it, waiting for fish flakes (won't eat crickets) but otherwise just hangs out over the plants and stares. I'm trying to sell her on ebay, (local pickup only) otherwise I'll just give her away.

Ok go ahead tar and feather me now. :P
 
Would you beleive that none of my fish are very boring? That said, they aren't going 24/7 either. The tetras are always chasing each other around, and into things, which gets the betta worked up and he chases the tetras around. The corys are always zipping around randomly and bumping into things.

And feeding time - well thats just hilarious watching the tetras play keep away with the sinking pellets. And the corys all pile up on top of each other to get to the pellet, 4 little tails in the air.

Thats too bad your butterfly isn't what you were hoping for, they're cool looking fish though.
 
I guess it all depends on taste. I thought she'd look cool over the tops of the plants, and she does. But she looks bored silly. The others are all over having fun, but she just hangs there, wishing she was in Africa, rather than an aquarium in Montreal...I think. I'm hoping to find her a more suitable home.

that's just it, perception. My banjo catfish isn't seen too often and is only really active at night but it makes an occasional visit during evening feeding time and is extremely interesting to watch in my opinion. A big difference from the swarm of barbs and danio's in the same tank that are constantly on the move. Kyle
 
for very much the same reasons, my most boring fish is my albino bushy-nosed pleco. i rarely see him, and when i do he darts away to hide. i know he's there because interestingly enough the algae wafers are completely gone the morning after being given. hmm... other than that my tank is very vivid as well. i love the little buggahs!
 
Plecos are boring aren't they cause they just sit there? But I'm not getting rid of mine.

Such a cool looking fish imo.

I loooove my tank. The panda cories remind me of little hyperactive puppies- always running around together, bumping into things, jumping around over each other... They're a surprise favorite. The black neons and the harlequins are always in motion, chasing after each other like a game of tag only they keep forgetting who's "it." One krib tries to follow the cories around, but hasn't gotten the hang of going vertically up the sides of the tank... So much fun to watch.

Hopefully my other krib will become less of a wallflower- it just sits in a fake rock formation and only comes out when theres algae flakes to eat or chase the other krib from the mouth of the cave. Maybe after some time the other krib may come out a bit more.
 
oh no, don't get me wrong, i definitely have the right fish and i like him very much. the question was asked of the most boring fish. he's mine. my red-eye tetras are nuts, my pearl gouramis are NOT shy like everyone says they should be, my rainbows are great, my clown loaches active, blah blah blah. my fish rock.
