What does everyone suggest as the most efficient bottom feeder for a 29-gal community aquarium?

What fish are in your tank currently? If you are trying to have leftover foods cleaned up, try vacuuming the substrate instead of resorting to fish.

Well I have a gravel vac, and its been working great.

Current stocking.

4 Red Eye Tetra
1 Honey Sunset Gourami
1 Peacock Gudgeon

I'm just looking into an efficient bottom feeder fish, just because obviously what is stocked is medium, top ranged fish, with the exception of the Peacock.

In the past when I was less experienced, I was always told just to get the standard pleco.

What is suggested?

PH is 7.4

A group of 4-6 cories would be very interesting on the bottom. They would need food other than the leftovers though. Also, you may want to add 2 to the tetras.

Cories, BN plecos, or almost any fancy pleco.
