I don't understand the engineering behind this tank. Why build a multi-million dollar aquarium out of old freight containers? This just blows my mind.

I would guess that he got the containers at a bargain price somewhere. New steel right now is VERY expensive. And they make those containers very strong...
 
imagine sciphining that tank! it would take weeks...
HOW do they (all those peope that maintain large tanks like the chattanooga aquarium) maintain the tanks???
large undergravel system?

Harlock can put in that manatee that is getting to big for his 29g....As for me, a mix of Piranhas, just a total nightmare.....hmmm...maybe I should think about this more.... :rolleyes:
