The New Fluvals.

The majority of the consensus has been harsh myself included having not tried the product. I think most of us who know a little bit about filtration are disappointed and expected some real tangible advances, not so much in techy gadgetry, but in real time consuming help. Four areas in particular could have been endurance, sterilization, heating, and basic parameter water testing (temp, PH, Nitra,) would have been really saved me time and space in the tank.

By comparison I wonder what the reviews were for the FX5 when it first appeared. With the exception of price I cant imagine the reviews were this bad becasue it at least offered more capacity.

useless bells and whistles seem to be popular with a good amount of people on fish forums imo. just like a car with a dashboard full of features that light it up like a christmas tree imo they're just more things to crap out on you.

imo a honda with electric controls for everything will spend a lot more time in the shop than an old rolls with no extras. all just so you can roll your window down on a warm day. not that i like cranking the windows while watching out for rogue passers by during my approach at a toll booth but in some cases it's just not worth it to have that many fail points... like in my fish tanks.
