The new generation

For those who have IE and spelling problems and would like a spellchecker to use for posting in a forum. I highly suggest using IE spell.
you can got to the main site, www.iespell.com or go to cnet.com and do a search there for it.
And for those of us smart enough (joke!) to use a more secure browser (like Firefox), there is an Extension for Firefox as well. SpellBound is great, and I use it on almost every post I type. http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/

The new email generation are creating a new language man!

My favourite grammer faux-pas is "prolly" (instead of probably). It drives me crazy! I guess we can't be surprised when certain presidents don't even know that the word is nuclear, not "nucular"...

Haha, thats funny ;)

Ok, I'm guilty of being so used to internet lingo that I used it in every day spoken conversation. I once reffered to bad traffic as "lag", and when something unexpected happens, I even say "oh em eff gee" among my friends. They all know what I mean, so thats what matters.

As far as 1337 sP34cK goes, I find it infinetly annoying, but I still consider it to be a dialect native to the net.

i think its the whole idea of the internet. we and you are all disposable people on the internet. in real life i go out of my way to use propper grammer although ill admit my spelling sucks sometimes, but online i often get caught up in what im typing that i make a bunch of errors and just dont consider the internet important enuff to take the time to correct all of them. and often i use a diffrent grammer than what english students are used to because ill start typing in half code.

useing ( side note ) and : as newline

often droping a line for each new thought

as a pseudo list.

also for people who do not learn english as a first language you may not realize it but your grammer is all wrong to everyone else except maybe the spanish its just a little weird to them.

and yes ive heard the redneck saying "if your gonna live in this country learn to speak the language" if they followed true to that we would all be speaking native american.

but in all honesty if i can understand what someone means i dont even check to see if their grammer is right, cause frankly i dont care. if someone says something and i can understand it then it is ok with me, im not going to go out of my way to point it out to the whole forum. so i can look like im so much better than they are. the appropriate method to deal with it would be a PrivateMessage addressing the issue in a non combative method.

luckly i havent seen any terrible spelling nazis and only one person i couldnt understand, and i hope it stays that way for some time.
