I made it from anything I fount....
Also i didnt go PC on you, Ive been warned on these forums numerous of times not to even say ****. Mods go crazy over stuff like that sometimes, I have fount that out the hard way.

Cool. Although I phrased my suggestion a little inelegantly, my intent really was to steer you towards a natural looking substrate. Reason being that I think it's an injustice to see live plants in anything but.
Around these parts, natural gravel is much less expensive than coloured gravel anyway. I buy 100 lb. bags for $19.99, and thats in Canadian bucks.

Speaking of Canada I have a uncle in Ontario 
. Yeah, I prefer the look of natural substrate than colored. Colored is more for a fun look or IMO, goldfish.
