the new viv's

I almost bought a trio of Cat Geckos the other month. In the future I'd like to try breeding them since no one really has tired it here in the US.

well from what i see thay breed readily just need to be kept in separate tanks most of the time. i would like to try with them at some point but figure i might try with cretsies first just because there's alot more info on them.

well put the glass panells and screen on the tanks i need to add a latch tomorrow. also should be geting my coco and tree fern panelling some time this week or next then i have to pick up more wood and some plants, need to find a good tropical nursery near by also a good source of cork bark it's turning into one of my favorite materials for vivs

also here's a recent picture of the the crestie tank adding in a cork lege with a plant (not sure what really but looks small and should be ok) and massed around with some flatish cork below that so i can plant something there or a vine can climb up it looks pretty good.

Both tanks are lookin great!

well got my treefern panel and coco fiber paneling and man was i not expecting the treefern stuff to quite as thick of the coco fiber so thin but i got it to work and it looks pretty good. still need to add more plants but it finally looks like a viv also need to figure out lighting because i sort of just put a T5-HO light i had lying around from one of my tanks on it for now.

now for the sexyness :evil_lol:

looking nice!

what substrate are you using for your converted 20gal? i am doing the same thing...well i have been trying but i have been doing it a little differently, but i was thinking about using coco nut fiber to grow a few things in, but do you change out the dirt that often?

wait witch one there both 20 gallons (lol), my 20 long tall crested gecko has a mixture f coco fiber and sphagnum peat moss don't really clean it out and mostly use the gecko poop as fertilizer. the viv im building now (20 tall tall) has some stuff called fir & sphagnum peat moss mix by Zilla and i actually really like it going to see how it grows plan though.
