Hey, have you guys took a flashlight to your tanks at night after it has been sitting in the dark for a while? what are some of these creatures that come out at night?!

I was looking for bristle worms because I just bought a clam and my hand book told me to look for bristle worms, they might attack the clam. when I pulled out the flashlight, WOW! there are lots of things that I never seen before that come out at night! I hope the creature that seems to dominate the population is some kind of brittle star, either that or I have one heck of bristleworm problem. (no livestock missing, no signs of such problem)

I'm seeing hairy red tentacles sticking out of every crevice possible. Among other creatures, too. (sorry no pics)

Would anyone like to name the creatures they see at night and maybe tell us if these animals were harmful or not in your tank?

it's hard to tell. maybe u can capture the picture. About the worm, try to purchase 6line wrasse to eat them. It'll work..

I have a red ray gun thats old and used for the little hotwheels to control the cars, I mainly use it to check temp and heater, and to make sure everything is ok. I have shined in on him before, just to watch my piranha eat, but he stops when the lights go on, so I set up a nightvision camera and recorded him; he went to town on some comets, a sight to see for sure. I will try to upload it one day.
