Good to hear :thumbsup: So did the Flubendazole do the trick? What exactly were you treating anyways? Planaria infestation? Nematode infestation?

Glad to hear that your otos are spawning again. That has got to be reassuring.

Very reassuring in deed. I was nervous to have to use any meds in the tanks.

I had a major Hydra outbreak. Since they always had a food source available between feeding fry and the zoea from the Ninja shrimp, they were just having their way in the tank. I had to erradicate them. The Flub did an awesome job within a couple of days.

DOH! If I had only bothered to go back just one page I would have noticed we already had this conversation :shakehead: lol. Just me being lazy... Glad it worked out.

BTW my Otos are still pumping out eggs & fry. Since we last "spoke" I've had 3 more spawns (about 1 every 2 weeks). Can't express how much your journal & the advice you PMed really helped out. Thanks again & good luck on getting your oto breeding project back on track.

Update 14-Nov-2011

My photo skills have really diminished lately. I just couldn't snap off any good pics. Sry. Hopefully I can get a few before the hatching. Then it's on to focus on new fry pics.

I also tried to get somewhat of an egg count. That as well turned out to be difficult. After I left, they really worked over the Bacopa area and just laid a ton of eggs in there. I counted as many as (10) on one leaf! Only visibly saw (8) in the crypt jungle. The best news was that I haven't found any non-viable eggs this time. Usually there are a few.

Fry guys all over the place. Litterally. I did locate three non-viable eggs. This is a pretty big hatching. Crossing fingers for most of them to survive.

I'm working on some pics. We'll see how it goes.
