The progress of my planted 55gal

I just finished tank maintenance today, and finally got a count of all the swordtails in there. 7 total; 3 orange, 3 blotched, 1 pineapple male. I don't know that I even have enough space for them all. I still haven't gotten the redtail shark I've been wanting either, becuase of those fish. I'm not sure what to do yet with them. I know I want the male, and maybe 2-3 others.

Had to remove a ton of hornwart, as it was taking over. Crypts are still taking their time sprouting up, but they are beginning to add ground-cover. The one anubias I have as a center plant is starting to make me think it may be something else. It has grown as wide as the tank, and is slowly getting taller. Anyone know why this could be?
I was also thinking of maybe getting some watersprite, but I'm not sure if I have enough lighting for it. I like it for its looks and fast growth, and am thinking of replacing the hornwart with it instead. I have 80 watts over the tank for everything in there. Let me know if this would work.

Also, one problem I've noticed when I do maintenance is that on the glass of the canopy there is mineral deposit build up. Since I can't exactly use anything too harsh for the sake of my fish, does anybody know a good remedy to get rid of this stuff? ~Angela
