Dual phosphor SmartPaq Bulb.
(10000°K daylight and 460 nanometer actinic)
Aka. Not Good For Plants.

Im not asking what watts i should get, im getting 65. I'm reffering to the type of bulb. As i currently have a 50/50 actinic, which doesn't do me any good.

opps read it wrong sorry about that. never used any of those bulbs. 10000k bulbs are going to be white. 6700k might give off some yellowish light. anyone of them look like they will work.

just found a link at rexgrigg.com (thanks to mgamer) for the GE 9325K bulb...IMO this bulb has the best color out there and plants will grow well under it... http://lightbulbsdirect.com/Merchan...=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=F55BX-AR-FS

All are 65 Watts, What would be suitable?

I use basically the 6700K with great success, but recently I added 2-96w Sunpaq dual daylight-6700K/10000K and I love the look(a lot cleaner whitish look) and they seem to work just as well. Ive had them over a month now with no complaints.

Sorry for jumping in on your thread - but how are you getting to 65w over a 20g? Are you using something like compact fluorescent?

My bro rigged up an old incandescent hood over this 20g with CF - but i think his look like bulbs - 23w putting out 100w each. I'm wondering if he's got 46w or 200w.

46w but they are not super effective. they still work though.
