The Ultra Ultimate 2300 Gallon : The Monster : The Myth : The JDM : The Photo Thread

Yeah, way too many fish for my tastes as well. But, wow, that's a Giant Gourami? It should be called Humongous Gourami. I've never seen one in perspective like that, where you can tell how big they actually are. Sheesh.

I just don't get it I suppose. To each their own and I do not doubt the owner of this tank knows a billion times more than I do about fishkeeping, it just looks like someone has emptied a bag of huge fish into a glass box for transporting somewhere proper. I would be interested to hear the opinions of people who think this looks good and ask them why, genuinely, do they think that looks good. Not individual fish being impressive, I mean the thing with a huge empty glass tank stuffed with lots.

I have the same problem with the guy on another forum who has a huge mega tank and was obsessed with rays. I dont get it, they dont do anything for me, the fact that they cost thousands of pounds just made it even more strange for me to understand. The tank had hardly anything in it and looked terrible. Perhaps I have just been spoiled by seeing these smaller tanks planted up Amano style (I dont mean as good as that but just a bit of greenery and aquascaping), but just a nicely planted well kept tank with lots of small fish or a few feature fish just sits a lot better on my eyes!

I must say I feel bad for the fish. You have like 10 too many fish in their man.

but how u mix in the same room those monster with the cute toys
very nice tank really

Wow inhumane how they are so crammed in there, the tank has amazing potential. I would much rather see a reef tank or a planted tank with shoals of tiny fish.
