So I had some spare parts layin around and built a light for my 20G long.

Its made outta an old piece of vinyl gutter and an outdoor light.
it looks like this here:

I think the pictures are purdy self splanitory.

I reckon it needs another coat of paint though.

the 23 watt CFL's are a little bigger than the gutter is deep, so they are sittin on the plexiglass lid on the tank. I am going to get some smaller diameter bulbs so it will sit flat on the tank.

I am going to make a couple more tomorrow for my other tanks.
they'll be slightly different since I am using old stuff I already have laying around..

Needs moar Duck-Tape, no it's a great idea, are you worried about the gutter plastic melting or do you think it will hold up?
