Awesome! Lets all keep an eye out for black plastic evetrough. 15w bulbs are next size smaller yet each still brighter then a 60W incondecent. A reflective liner would greatly increase your light out put (95% reflective) and keep the light from glowing through the hood, though costly ($10+/ft). Great Job. I'm off to HDepot tomorrow.

I will be installing chrome mylar inside the gutter for light reflection, I am waiting for it to come in. Since I own a sign shop, I can get a pretty good deal on it.
 
This is a great DIY thread. Do you have a switch to turn it on and off or do you just have it on a timer? Also did you pant the gutter?

Yup, gutter is painted with black spray paint (rustoleum brand paint for plastics)

And it is on a timer.
 
I am in the middle of making a 48" version with 8 bulbs. My Gutter material seems thin and I may need to put a brace in middle. I will post pics when I am done.
 
Great idea and pics. I'm gonna build a 72 inch housing for my 125. I'm gonna include my blue LED xmas/moon lights also.
