theres a huge wasp

so for assuming your a guy, bad habit I suppose

i'm glad we have people who care for these creatures, sure they're pesky and annoying but we are annoying to them too.

if you have an under ground nornet nest stick a hose with a low flow water setting into it and hide in your house so when they notice the water coming in they'll look elswhere to build a home while they don't sting you.:thm:

is it possible, how can you tell male from female?

I think the only female is the queen and doesn't leave the hive? I believe that the ones that leave the hive are all males. I also think that the female doesn't have wings for some reason, don't know why. Correct me if I'm wrong here, it's been a long time since I've taken any kind of science class, but it seems to me that this is sticking out in my memory for bees and wasps too.

i think they're related somehow with the whole colony and queen system. kind of like our government

Males stay in the nest at all times and don't sting at all. Worker bees are infertile females so they cant make babies and are the only ones who sting. Queens are the only ones who are fertile but they never leave the nest. The reason why only female workers sting is that the stinger is a modified organ for laying eggs, but since the workers can't lay eggs, they sting instead. And also, once they sting, they die because the venom sack is attached to their guts so they disembowel themselves. :)
