Do any of you have the same problem where my thermometer suction cups just keep coming off the glass? I literally put it on then 2 minutes later it is floating again. It just will not stick to the glass.

I've never had long term success with suction cups for anything in the tank. I use magclips for heaters, etc, once the cups fail.
I've got some cheap digital thermometers I use from time to time on my tanks for a ballpark reading. Other than that, it's all by feel

make sure the glass is clean,
a few mins in boiling water will likely make the suction cups more flexible and therefore more likely to stick to the glass.
Probably cheapest long term to buy a non-contact IR thermometer when they go on sale at Amazon, or Harbor freight or wherever.
