I'm totally put off by the microphones and cameras in the place. What is the purpose of this? To monitor the employees? To prevent shoplifting? That's just creepy!
It is creepy as the phone lines are jacked as well. I understand that since he doesn't want people on the phone for personal calls all day (even though they are allowed), but otherwise, why??
The cameras are for shoplifters and robberies (they have been robbed quite a few times), but he turns the mic on very loud so you literally have to whisper in someones ear if you don't want the boss to hear. I think he does that because he wants to know anything and everything said to the employees and to the customers.
I intentionally say things that I want done or that I don't like loud and clear just so he knows.
.......
I also wanted to say that, hey I'm still a newbie when it comes to fish owning. I only started up at the end of last year, but what I did and many of us on this site did was read, research and gain knowledge. I started out with a 10 gallon tank with 2 Mollies, 2 Guppies, 2 Tiger barbs and a Common Pleco. Every single one of them has died except for the Pleco that is now 7 inches long, living in my 20 gallon tank. Fortunately for him, I have plans on a 43 gallon that needs sealant repair and that will last him a while until the next, larger tank comes. I did many things wrong, but as soon as I found out about them, I tried to correct it. It didn't work out as planned, but I have Bridgesii growing all in my tank (7 in all). My 10 gallon houses 3 female Guppies that I bought for 50 cents (they are awesome) and 2 baby black Mollies I had to take considering my Aunt has a 5 gallon tank with 1 Mom Molly that gave birth. I couldn't deny her!!!!!
So anyways, I might seem like a hypocrite complaining about other peoples ignorance, but to be honest, if I saw myself a year ago doing what I did, I would have slapped myself in the face, but only because it was me...I would have just politely explained it to anyone else.
