You can call Lesco and find a dealer in your area. The only reason I submit SoilMaster is because it is a very cheap alternative to other pricey substrates.

I know nothing about charcoal and other properties of charcoal. Remember, spending up front to buy a proper substrate would save you a lot of money in the future as you would not have to buy and replenish Root Tabs.
 
I think I'll go look around at home depot to see if I can find that stuff. any idea what the package looks like? If I can't Find it there I think I'll get flourite from the place I'me getting the tank and SOME equipment from (that place is dirt cheap) or order it from an LFS.
