Thinking about adding Brichardi Fairy Cichlid to my fishroom.

Hey Lab - you are so right but I love talking to other "fish" people!! My boys wanted me to name my hatchery "The Fish Geek" - but I chose differently!

Here is a pic of the new set up - and the tanks I had to move to make room for the 55. I had it kind of hidden behind some 10 gallon tanks but I wanted to be able to watch them better. Can't wait for them to get here now that their home is done. PH was at 8.0 - I hope it stabilizes around there.

Hey LBF - those are 20H's, my breeder tanks. I have been using them for years now - would probably go with 29's if I could do it all over again but too late now. I have raised thousands of angels in those tanks - just takes more maintenance!!

Lab - Thanks, it is a species only tank - I am hoping to establish a breeding colony and then sell off the extras later on. If these do well I will probably get the albino stain (probably next year) - this is just something to give me a break from the angels. I am setting up some shrimp tanks too - need some variety to keep it interesting. I have added 2 groups of pygmy sunfish, a group of florida flagfish and have the daffodils and shrimp on the way - FUN FUN!! (sorry the geek came out again) :)

LBF - no problem at all - it is a side view as fshfanatic said. They look cramped but they have the full 20 to move around in. Kinda like living in a trailer I suppose. They are adjusting to the new layout - I think they will like it better once they adjust (will feel less exposed). I had to put them that way to make better use of the space. I have 7 20H's on that stand (thought I could fit one more but the posts are in the way) - I think I could fit a 5 gallon beside them if needed!!

OK - all are here and settled in! I am loving these little guys, I wish I had room to put a comfy chair in and just sit and watch them. Here are some pics - I have a 20 with 5 small daffodils in it for now. The 55 has 2 pair of N. Caudopunctas and 8 daffodils - I will be selling off some of the daf's when they get bigger and start wanting to pair up. I also have another 55 I want to move the Caudopunctas to in a while. FUN!
