thinking about buying this light

i was thinking about buying this light

i want to have a high tech aquarium with CO2 and the works.Right now i have less than 2.5WPG gallon and the plants don't seem to grow very fast at all.i was thinking about buying from AHsupply but its actually cheaper since i would have to buy a hood to house the lights.Please advise before i buy.

wait what size tank is this for. i would think that 2.5 wpg would be fine on most tanks. what spectrum of bulb are you using?

the think with the lights you suggested would be that thay are cheap. i got one like that when i first set up my tank. it was a 36in with 96watt lighting for my 30 gallon ended up using just one bulb. also if i did use two the hood would over heat and it smelled like burning plastic. if you really want new lights i'd say go with AHsupply or get some good T5's

2.5 watts/gal should be fine for most plants. What size tank?? If it is a tall tank then maybe not enough light is getting to bottom. What kind of plants, some do grow slow.

well its a 29 gallon if it would over heat i guess i could look into some t5 or ah

dang fishy lol going for that 4.5wpg hella of alot.

I would go with the 2x55 ahsupply This way you can keep one light one for 6-8hrs a day and for the next 2hrs give it a boost with that 2nd bulb..

Check PT i saw someone selling a 92w ahsupply kit there for $40.

so what bulbs should i get?i was thinking 2 10,000K bulbs but from reading what you said should i have a lower k rating bulb on then a higher one for 2 hours
