thanks, im gonna get my uncle to take me to "house of tropics" (local exotic fish store) they have baby dempseys (2in) im gonna get a pair of those.

You mean semi-weekly which is twice a week. Bi-weekly is twice a month or every two weeks.

Big water changes (40%) twice a week is the way to go once they get some size on.

I think they will be ok for life, with weekly/bi-weekly water changes.
