This guy like to get busy

Flapples are Pomacea paludosa. Common name of Pomacea bridgesii/diffusa is mystery snail.

Sed, was it in the everglades? What is the appearance of the egg clutches of the snails you found? This might help determine if they're canas (they have established populations in some states) or paludosas.
 
Its in Tallahassee, in a damned lake, but use to be a valley. There are lots of invasive plants, clams and who knows what else. The snail is very sluggish, and does not move very much
