This is going to sound so stupid but can a cory cat hurt a person?

6 of the same kind preferably.

As far as handling them, I will not pick up a cory with my hands unless I have to. I actually use my hands to transfer my cichlids rather than a net as they struggle less that way, but I won't do that with a cory or any catfish.

If you tried to swallow a cory, you would get hurt.

I'm not sure about cories, however my dominant male kenyi bites me whenever I stick my hand in the water and move around his mounds of gravel that he makes. It kinda feels like Velcro rubbing against my skin, and is pretty weird. A little off topic, but just a little thing that I'll add. Not sure if anyone else has had this experience.

hi if u look at the side fins on the cory u will see they stick out a little. thats because theres a bumes part with a barb at the end , which it uses in deffence to stop being swallowed , but no they cant hurt humans
