Don't use the flavored Tums. Mine wouldn't touch that stuff. Haven't tried the non-flavored variety yet.

How often do you use the Tums tablet, and how many snails per tablet fed?

That's very strange. I use flavored version of Tums available in orange and strawberry. The brigs and canas are always crazy over this. I drop two tablets of Tums in each tank every 2-3 days. Each tablet can support 15 brigs. For canas, it has to be two per tab. Goodness knows how they use their radula (rasping tongue) quite effectively to rub off the pill into their mouths. The babies also join in the fun. I'll be adding to four soon just to support everyone.

Poor snail. Have you added any calcium pills yet? Plaster of Paris pucks are okay. Try broken egg shells if they don't like cuttlefish bones.

Okay, eggshells tonight and I will pick up some Tums on my way home from work tomorrow. Thanks for the advice. The female looks great so I thought he had damaged his shell somehow.
