The bristlenose pleco seems like a crackhead when I approach the tank - darting around back and forth before settling down. The common pleco is a little more relaxed.
pacus are darker, an angel would be gone in a day if it were a pirahna, its a silver dollar. quit common. use looks like it has a red fin linining, if fed well that will develope to look very nice
I agree..silver dollar..watch any live plants as the silver dollars tend to be plant eaters...LOL
you would be okay with the silver dollar the angel and the bn pleco.
the bn vary in size depending on the variation. but usually don't exceed 6 in and are very good at keeping algae levels down. considered by many as the optimun small tank pleco.
I have one that can tend to be shy to fast movement..but cruises the tank..it eats food that gets to the bottom, algae, wafers and I feed it zucinni twice a week(lightly blanched)
if you want to keep the common pleco..I would suggest moving it to a larger tank..depending on the actually species they can get very large and will most likely out grow the 20.
IMHO
good luck
That's a Metynnis hypsauchen Silver Dollar, I have three of those. It threw me off at first because his body is a little oddly shaped. Possibly stunted from being in a 20g tank if he's been in there long enough. They can get 6" in a proper environment.
He's a herbivore, but will eat anything, especially plants. He really needs a school, so I hope if you keep him you'll put him in at least a 50g tank with 2 more his size.
I've noticed the angel harassing the silver dollar recently, so I think it's time for someone to find a new home.
I'd like to give the silver dollar away to someone who has the space and other fish, as it'd be easier to add a second angelfish than to add 2 silver dollars into a tank that's not made for it.
