Thoughts on fish behavior

So I just put in a new large angel into my 110g tank since I finally found one large enough! Its 90% the size of my current angel but its body is probably 50% as thick so it looks smaller. I put it in and all is well for about 30 seconds until a festivum comes over and bites its top fin, it tap the glass and they go separate ways, then my old angel sees it and comes immediately over. The new one goes into the back corner through the large hole in my driftwood and my old angel follows, mr festivum comes over again maybe for another taste and my old angel scares it away and slowly cruises by my new one but leaves it alone. Is my old one A) protecting it/happy B) pissed I put this new guy/gal in and is saving it for himself? lol
 
When introducing new fish you should darken the tank and feed the other fish first. Rearranging decor also takes away established territory and forces new boundaries to be established. This will help with any aggression.

Usually "birds of a feather will flock together" against a common enemy even though they may not get along otherwise.
 
Tank was rearranged last weekend, did feed the tank before but I have never had any aggression from the festivums or the old angel before.
 
These are all territorial fish, so you will have these issues. When rearranging, you should do it in a way that you break up the line of sight between "territories". Hopefully they get over it within the next few days. Otherwise, you may need to rehome one of those guys.

So wake up this am and the angel is fine, his dorsal fin is a little shorter but hes swimming around and no ones picking on him.
