I ordered some tickets off ticketmaster.com last night for a concert Nov. 5. It said the free shipping takes 2-3 weeks for it to arrive, and to make sure you order them a minimum of 14 days before the event. Well, the concert is exactly 14 days from today.

Do you think I'll get them in time? I'm worried they won't make it. There was no way I was paying $15 for the 3-day shipping charges, which happened the be the cheapest. I mean, they already charged $8 for some kind of "handling fee" per ticket.

Ticket master has gotten way out of hand. They didn't offer to the option of getting the tickets via email this time, for some reason. It shouldn't take 2-3 weeks, either. I got a case for my cell phone off ebay once and it took 3 days to get it regular snail mail all the way from california, which is nearly the all the way across the country.

You are right, Ticketmaster HAS gotten way out of hand. The good news is you probably will get your tickets on time. I've never had them not come in time. I think my wife called their customer service once and got tracking info as well as when they were sent.

From now on, if I can't get tickets right from our local venues, I don't go !!

The last time I bought from Ticketmaster I just printed them out right on my own printer- they don't do that anymore?
I usually go Ebay now- and have been getting pretty good seats there, too!
they were still doing it for the 3-4 concerts I went to this summer!
I agree on the use of ebay

I have to go to this show, just isn't an option. :D Which is why I'm so worried about it. I hope your right, though. I'll try to get a tracking number this weekend.

Someone should start a new ticket company that sells tickets for the same price, but doesn't charge big 'handling fees' and charge $15-20 for shipping! The show I saw last weekend, they charged $2 or $3 just to email me a pdf of the tickets! They are treating people the same way the record industry did by charging $20 for a cd.

They still do it, just not for this event. Counterfeiting isn't a big issue because they have unique barcodes on them that are scanned when you go inside. If the barcode has been scanned once they won't let anyone else in with the same one. I suppose someone could get on your email account and print their own copies out. I'm sure it's happened before.
