Im wondering how well these go together. Ive never had barbs before.Ive got glowlights,redeyes,pristella and silvertip tetras. I also have 2 corys. The reason i ask is my LFS has tiger barbs on sale 5 for $4.88 which is a good deal.

Tiger barbs can be some of the more aggressive barbs and you have some of the more peaceful tetras. How big is you tank. You would want a minimum of 5 tigers to lower the aggression level but that is still no guarantee.
I agree with the last post, tigers can be very bad fin nippers, sometimes even when they are in groups. You may want to consider a less agressive barb, such as the rosy barb and the pink tiger barbs. I have them and they do fine with all my other fish. The whole tank is very active and no fighting!
I wouldn't get tiger barbs full stop. No offence to the tiger barb lovers, but when you already have a "pink and fluffy" tank, putting in tiger barbs is asking for trouble. What about checker or cherry barbs? They may not be on special offer, but an extra dollar or so is better than a tank full of stressed fish.
I would not mix the tiger barbs with the neons that you have. I keep rosy barbs in my tanks, but their are with 2 angels and some swordtails. Barbs tend to usually "pick" on other fish. They do tend to leave tankmates alone when they are in large schools. I have a school of 9 with 3 being males and the rest female. Also, rosy barbs are active swimmers and tetras tend to be more steady! I do have a love for the Rosy Barbs though and I have never seen any aggression in the tank.
I think my tank qualifies as 'pink and fluffy' (lol, wonderful term 9tails) - all the fish are completely peaceful with each other, the only form of agression is my angel controlling the fry population, and that's a good thing! I've got three cherry barbs, they're absolute little sweethearts. I agree with the others that tiger barbs might create havoc in your tank, and suggest cherrys to go with your tetras instead. They're great fun - mine play tag, and goof around together in the waterfall created by the Penguin filter, and get along great with my neons.
