In addition to 15 tiger barbs I added 7 clown loaches into my tank now. I tried to feed the loaches some worms but the barbs ate them all. Loaches were hiding in cave at the same time. How I'm supposed to feed different food to different fishes when barbs eat everything? Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Try sinking pellets - feed a smaller quantity of food to the barbs and then toss in the sinkers. Loaches tend to be able to pick up food down low, whereas barbs seem not to go there... We had the same problem with my uncle's community tank - everyone would swipe the food before it got around. Also, see if your loaches are more active in the dark and feed accodingly. good luck

I have a similar problem with my fish. They eat like there is no tomorrow so almost no food makes it to the bottom for my Cory so I got wafers that sink. Guess what... the Mollies, Swordtail and SAE swarm the wafers and the cat just moves on not looking for a fight. Do Corys eat at night? If so I could just drop in a wafer at lights out.

Que >> I've seen Corries forraging for food when the lights go out. Try those sinking algae wafers - they're too big for most fish to chomp on and do make it to the bottom. We usually drop them in about 15 mins after lights out.

The clowns are new and havent established themselves yet. They will get more accustomed to your feeding scedule and probably be a bit more upfront when its feeding time. Mine will eat out of my hand. The other thing you can do is lure the barbs to the opposite corner of the tank with food first, then feed right infront of your loaches (for frozen food if you de-thaw it completely it will sink much faster). Also try feeding them good food like fresh veggies, barbs will probably have nothing to do with it. Look here for feeding info: http://www.loaches.com/care/the-loach-almanac
