I have 6 tiger barbs sitting in my 10G right now until I cycle the 55G and put them in. When I feed them, they'll suck the food in, but spit it right back out.

Any ideas? It's TetraColor food.

I don't like my shark either. He's a bully! I thought Tiger Barbs were aggressive and wouldn't take crap from the shark :P

Hmmm
Tiger barbs will pretty much eat anything. at least mine did.
Has the shark been in the tank long enough to establish his terretory?
what kind of shark is it?

It's been in there about a month. It's a Rainbow Shark. Might change when I put them in the 55G. More room and the Tiger Barbs will have ample space to not invade.

The shark does look very healthy though. Very nice colors on body and fins. I've had no problems with my 10G besides my neons being eaten.

My tiger barbs will eat anything I toss in the tank. No matter brand, they are pigs! They also like frozen brine shrimp on occasion. Behavior-wise, they are fin-nippers more than anything else. Bullies? No, not really but they do enjoy a meal of neon tetras when possible. For a small tank you sure have it over-stocked!

I bought the granuales and they seem to love those. But my pictus wont eat them. Picky bunch. I don't think they'll fit in the mouth of my shrimp.

Yeah, they're all going in a 55g when it cycles

How many fish do you have in the 10 gallon?

How big are the flakes? Try breaking them up.

Ugh I wish the tiger barbs would get mad and like bite the shark in the face to be like "Hey, back off". He's gonna kill them all because he chases them around 24/7. They aren't even anywhere in it's vicinity and the shark will just come over to the other side and chase them. The shark usually sits in it's rock.
