tiger barbs

i just got rid of my oscar & decided to try a community tank. i picked up 6 tiger barbs and will buy some more in a few weeks. how many can i keep in a 55 gallon tank? btw, it's filtered by 2 penguin 330's.

15 or 16 easily, just add them slowly

If you are keeping tiger barbs only,,,,i'd stuff about 30 in there,,,throw the 1 inch per gallon out the window,,,,,maintain healthy levels of nitrates via water changes,,,,tiger tank would look awesome !!

i'm only keeping tiger barbs in this tank. i think it would be cool to have a large school swimming around in the tank.
