Ive read different things partaining to tiger cowries. ive heard that theyre reef safe, not reef safe, will eat anemones and soft corals, etc.

ive only got some ricordea and rhodactis shrooms and some zoas in my tank, and will probably never have anything more then shrooms and zoas.

my question is, will a tiger cowrie be able to live in my tank without eating my corals, and if so, what should i feed it if i choose to get one? I already feed the tank freeze dried krill once and sometimes twice daily.

Qualitative gut analyses have shown cowries to be strictly herbivorous :). Thwy are much more interesting than the average snail, too. The main downside is the sheer amount of space and algae they will eventually need. This is why I prefer money cowries.

Thanks for the help. I just might get one of these as well when i go to get my sea hare.

They are enormous...will probably knock things over like a bulldozer.
