tiger fishes

hi .
my tank is 40L .. i have 6 tetra neons and 8 tiger fishes in it .. so i was just wondering that did u over stock ??

If by tiger fish you mean tiger barb then yes you are over stocked IMO.

how many of them i m suppose keep then ? .. and what other fishes are compatible with them becuase at the ship the guy said they cant live with any fish whiuch has long fins . .. and all fishes i looked had longe fins...

Very overstocked. Those tiger barbs will get quite large for such a small tank. If at allpossible I would take them back or else get a bigger tank, a min of 80L. If you took them back you could get more neon tetras for a bigger school of fish.

tiger barbs should be in bigger schools also to keep them from nipping at the other fish. your tank isnt big enough for the school you have now though.

my fishes are hidding can any bidy tell me why ? .. and 2 days ago . i found my neon died.... only head was left.. rest of it was eaten .. only bones were left ... :S

Neon tetras are not a good choice with tiger barbs - they will end up being a snack bar.

k.. but any reason my tigers are hidding .. but they come out when lights are off ... of for food .... or is it shy fish ??? or is there some problem .. . ?

Maybe try providing some more hiding places / shelter in your tank. Its strange because often if you add hiding places you see your fish more because they know they can hide if threatened.

BTW graver do your fish look like the ones in maxthedogs avater ?

^ .. my tank has enough hidding places i think ... so its ok dat they hide ? .. beacause i thought its not good ... but they are ok when i turn lights off ...

yeah its the same fish .. tiger barbs yeah ! .. plus i have same of green colour but exactly same .. dey dont have stripes on dem .. dey are also tigers but i think dey are not called barbs... i have 4 of tiger barbs( same as in maxthedogs's avator 2 tiger fishes which are orange coloured and 2 are green...
