Do Tiger Lotus flower in aquariums? I have one that I have allowed to grow to the surface. Its almost there and every new leaf is going further than the previous one. I am hoping that it will flower at least once. Then I'll move it outdoors where it can grow all it wants.

Right now I have one or two fish who have adopted each leaf as their resting place.

disgusting lol i look at pics of tanks like this makes me wanna pop a cap thru the middle of my 75 gal planted tank.... some day i'll get it right... btw great lookin tank

nice lookin tank, from what I understand yes they can flower in the aquarium if allowed to reach the surface

I do know that this plant is indestructable. You can pull it up, trim the roots and replant and it doesn't miss a stride. One of the only red plants you don't need massive amounts of light for.

I hope it flowers soon. I am getting impatient with it because it is casting a shadow over half my the tank at the moment. If it does, I will post some pics.

I'm with you Bushwacker! *green with envy* That is a really nice tank, gsparsan :grinyes:

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'm battling with trimming and other maintenance the best I can.
