Snails and Shrimp are very different!
Shrimp do not take much (if any) of their minerals from the water column, and since they molt, acidic water will not affect their shells like it does snails.
The reason snails don’t do will in soft acidic water is their shells can not regenerate themselves!
While Snails and Shrimp are both invertebrates, they are not similar at all!
