Tightest Schooling Fish

I have hengeli rasboras (with one lone espi rasbora in the group) and they hang very tight together. I have 9 in a 10 gallon with cherry shrimp. Heavily planted tank. It's a lovely set up and nice to watch!

Do you have a pic of them? Are they the glowlight rasbora?

my neons school very tight when i insert a net or my python. im sure any shoaling species would school tightly if you also added a fish that could possible eat them. harlequins and rasboras would do nicely also

i'll go with harlequins also. in my opinion, they are the best looking schoolers. though they do break up once in a while, majority of them stay together. i'd say out of my 10, 6 are always swimming in formation.

Hmm. I have Espei and Harlequin rasboras in my 56 and they don't school that well... I have Rummynoses in my 45 and they are the best schoolers I have EVER had. I also have Diamond tetras in with the Rummies - they are schooling better now that there are 8 of them. I have 6 White Skirt tetras in another, not a great school, but I have 6 more in quarantine. We'll see if 12 will encourage the schooling behavior.

Rummynose tetras are my #1 favorite fish. I just love them!
