I am in need of a light timer for my 10 gallon office tank. ANyone know of any that work well that dont break the bank?? WHat have you used??

I use several brinks timers I got from walmart - a little more than $15 I think. They are digital and have multiple on/off settings for each day.

I've used the cheap ones you can buy from Walgreen's or CVS or a place like that. But be warned on the cheap ones, the plug needs to be exactly vertical (the normal way a plug is installed), if it's upside down, horizontal, or a power strip laying on the floor, the cheap ones won't work. The timer won't keep proper time, if it moves at all. (The digital one Derringer mentioned might be a better choice at those times) I did buy a decent timer/power strip from thatfishplace.com for my larger tank, it was well worth the investment if your running several things with a timer. It was about $30.

If the power goes out at your work you may have bigger issues than worrying about a little tank on your desk.

I use one that spins...set the on and off... picked up two of them at Big Lots for a few bucks. If you can get something cheap now go with it until after Christmas... lots of timers on sale then (for when people use timers for controlling their tree lights and such).
