I have a pair of Tinfoil Barbs who look like have spawned, the female looks like she is carrying the eggs. She is eating well and very active. Im going to switch them to a different tank with no other fish and once she releases the eggs and he fertilizes them I will remove the parents. This is a first for me, I have been keeping freshwater fish for 25 years and never had Barbs spawn before. I guess we will see how this goes.

That sounds promising. Tinfoil barbs are egg scatterers, so having a separate spawning tank is definitely a good idea.
I’d give the eggs somewhere to fall out of reach — marbles, a mesh bottom, or a lot of fine-leaved plants/spawning mops can help. The adults may eat the eggs pretty quickly, so removing them once spawning is finished should improve your odds.
If she’s active and eating normally, I’d just keep an eye on them and let things progress naturally.
After 25 years in freshwater, getting your first barb spawn would be pretty cool. Hope you get a good batch of fry!
