Hello,
I got my tank about 6 weeks ago and added fish about 4 weeks ago. Just some little fish about 8 in total. Then about 2 weeks ago I added 4 more little guppy type fish. Things have been fine except that after doing a 50% water change yesterday, they are tons of tiny bubbles floating in my tank. They form when the water from the filter falls down into the tank and proceed to float all around the tank. There is even a big slick of them formed on the surface of th water. Anyone know what this is?

Chances are the water is off gasing. The water in your pipes was probably high in either CO2 or O2. The tank water will try to become equal to the air above it so the little bubbles come out. If they are staying in your tank then chaces are there is a biofilm or slick forming on the watee surface. This often happens and really is a major worry. Fish food can leave oils floating on the surface.

Since you tank is new make sure to do water changes more often than once a week, especially after adding new fish. And probably feed less than you already are.

And you can also try letting the water sit out over night before a water change, though it really isn't that critical.
