I have an emperor 280 on my 29 gallon. i was wondering when the water returns from the filter to the tank tiny bubles are seen floating in the water. kinda look like debris but im 98% sure they are air bubbles b/c they are only on the side where the filter is dumping the water back in. my question is, anyway to stop these little bubbles? kinda makes my tank look like the water is dirty. anyone experiance this with emperor filters or any other filters for their tanks??? suggestion/advice/help would be greatly appreciated lol

i think it's just because of how powerful the filter is, it's pushing the water down so hard that air gets trapped on the way down and gets pushed down until the power of the flow is diminished.....

My AC500s do the same thing, even with the flow turned down as low as it will go. I agree that it's pretty annoying. I'm plan to try to stick some sponge into the uptake tubes as a prefilter to see if that will slow down the flow a little - I'm lazy though and haven't gotten round to it yet.
