I was just looking at my tank and found a little tiny mass of about 15 eggs. the sack is completely clear, as are the eggs, laid UNDER the water line.

I have 1 pond snail (came on a plant and i never got rid of him), and 3 mystery snails. could anyone tell me which snail laid these?

this is a 5.5g tank, havily planted. it has a few shrimp, a betta, and guppies. Will these snails eat my plants? i have witnessed my ghost shrimp eat a pond snail in this tank before (the plant came with 2, he ate one), but i actually like the look of their shells and clear bodies.

also, how long do they take to hatch? i think the eggs are new

Yes, pond snail eggs. They hatch in about a week.

Pond snails should not eat healthy plants. They actually make good cleanup crews in the tank, they just get out of control easily. I get huge infestations in my bristlenose growout tank, every few weeks I net out a few hundred (literally just scrape the bottom of the tank) and feed them to the oscar. It keeps the tank clear for a few weeks, then all the remaining eggs hatch and start to grow out, rinse, lather repeat.

Yeah, you can leave em. Just try not to overfeed, and clean some out when you get too many. If you squish some of the babies once in a while, you'll help with population control, and give your fish a free meal!

my puffer loves to snack on them (and ramshorns), so i leave them in my tanks. when they begin to look unsightly, i throw in a slice of potato and the next morning i pull it out. it will be COVERED in snails. then i toss the snails

Betting it isn't a pond snail and is a Bladder Snail instead......
