Tiny slow moving bubble like objects in my tank

Hello all,
I've been noticing these tiny white specks that look like air bubbles but they rise to the surface of the aquarium very slowly then seem to float on the top. They appear only where water drops from my bio-wheel filter. I have a canister filter on the other side of the tank and I do not notice them at all over there. Other air bubbles tend to rise much more quickly to the top. I haven't had much luck thru internet searches so I've decided to post. Any one know what they may be? Could they be harmful? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Pics would help...

Could be some other gas that is denser than typical air, and therefor rises slower. Or, could be just because the bubbles are so small, they don't have the "umph" of bigger bubbles to rise so fast.

Sounds like bubbles. I have an HOB and canister like you do and my HOB creates little bubbles right under the flow where the water drops. Try lowering the flow, perhaps that would make the water stop spinning so much and make the bubbles go away, if they are unsightly. I dont think they are any danger though. ;)

Just tiny bubbles. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
You should post questions like this under the freshwater topics forums, like general freshwater or freshwater newbie, rather than general chit chat. You will get more responses that way.
