tiny snails everywhere at night!!!!

Well, for the first time since I set up my 55g I decided to break out the flashlight. What I saw, and I've never seen before, was hundreds of little REAL tiny snails all over my rock. Their shells were white with a cone shaped spiraled shell. Anyone know what species of snail these are? Thanks

trochus snails, I have them too, great snails.

Is that true? The pics of trochus snails I've found on the net are of big snails. These things are tiny. They were hard to notice unless you were looking closely.

There babys snails, there like the size of these commas right ,,,,,, if so then yeah there babys.

Could be baby ceriths, could be pyramidellids. Pyramidellids are parasitic on clams and snails, so I hope that's not it.

well obviusly it is the offspring of the snails you have!

Not really. Some snails stay small, and larvae of other species can ride in on the live rock.

Yeah the cone shaped shells are about the size of a comma. The only thing is my only snail in there is a huge turbo and he's the only one I've had for about a year.

but would baby turbos have cone shaped white shells and be this small?
