Titch has roomies!!!!

Cute pair! But could gobies look anymore bored than they do while on guard duty? Someone needs some coffee.

LMAO FD!!! I haven't actually seen the goby do anything yet. Not enough eat, but I'm not too concerned about that at the moment! He just sits there and occasionally Hopkirk (shrimp) has to dig right underneath him as he doesn't move!!!

I never realised having a pistol shrimp could be so much fun, he's busy making new caves every day. Today i watched him climb up the rock with a "clawful" of sand and he didn't drop any!!!

That is so fun! I love the videos, you need to make more and share them! I love your tank and always love reading about it and seeing your pictures.

I'm impressed that your pistol shrimp comes out to play. There is one somewhere in my tank that I've yet to see and I've had the rocks he came with for almost 2 months now. I *think* he's taken up with the diamond goby, based on where it sounds like the popping is coming from, but I can't be sure. And if that's the case, the shrimp has the goby whipped because the goby does all the work.

Now I definitely want a pair like yours for my new tank!

Thank you Annette. He's out all day so I could a video anytime, I just didn't want to bore people. But now you've asked..............................:grinyes:

I was probably mis-guided like alot of people when I first started keeping Marine. I'd heard all the horror stories about Mantis and Pistol Shrimps and there was no way I wanted one in my tank. I never got any as hitchhikers and considered myself lucky. Now I wish I had because I've had to pay for this one!!!!

He's currently in a tank with a baby Banggai Cardinal, 2 sexy shrimps and a crab, plus his idle partner Randall!!! So far no problems but I can see what people mean when they say the clicking sounds like cracking glass. It's quite frightening and I do find myself checking the tank despite knowing what the noise is!

very cool CPD. Maybe if I am 'lucky enough for a hitchhiker i can get one of these little guys when i order 75 lr for my new salty tank.

so neat how they work together like that.

After seeing the video, you forced me to break down and order a pistol shrimp from liveaquaria.com. I'm hoping it pairs up w/ my yellow watchman goby.
