I'm with Morgurnda.....but I see no reason to ban you........anymore than you can ban an obnoxious and rude coworker that you have to deal with in order to keep your job.

The rudeness and less than gracious replys and responses are a reflextion on the person making the rude comments...and not on the one the comment is directed at....so....fire away Nat !
 
I am willing to learn, even about things I'm not into like rift lake cichlids. So, I read this thread about why not to mix lakes with interest. Nat gave specific reasons which I understood and accepted.

I wasn't the one asking, but since I was in the same boat as those that didn't know I looked at the thread as one I would have made. So, Nat when you said this

"Go ahead and mix the lakes if you want, but don't advocate doing it. If you sit there and advocate this I'm sure you would be the ones to also say its fine to have Koi with Red Bellied Piranha."

I felt as If I were the one called a dumbsh*t idiot in so many words.

I sent a pm to Nat only pointing out how that comment wasn't constructive and possible constructive directions to answer with. I got no reply to my pm or aknowlegement and the thread still stands as indicated.

I don't care how you tell the truth, but that wasn't about the fishkeeping truth.

I don't care what Nat says if I'm supposedly fine with putting Koi with Red Bellied Piranha.

I think a poll about whether or not to ban you is NOT a good idea.
Yes, you come across as snitty in some of your posts, but you are not the only one.
You are very knowledgeable and help a lot of people. Like I said, there are others, MANY others, that come across the same way.
 
Well Nat, Now you've gone and really mucked things up.

I for one have always recognized your knowledge and intellegence here on the boards but at the same time have thought you were far too immature and obnoxious in your methods.
The knowledge that you have shared outweighed the rudeness that you exibit in most cases but that is not justification for being obnoxious.
Now that your obnoxious juvenile behavior seems to be outweighing your ability to share information and help others I honestly think you should do the right thing and just go away so no one has to ban you. Then when you sort out your attitude and mature a bit you could come back and be helpful again. It is in my mind a shame to see someone who has knowledge and experience be so obnoxious with others trying to learn and share their knowledge.
I certainly have no personal beef with you, and had you not raised the question, I would not be pondering whether or not you need to be banned.

Now that you have raised the question I would say Yes given your posts over the last couple of months you should be removed. Previous to that my vote would have fallen the other way. Whether or not you are banned, is irrellevant, the fact that you could do more good than you ever have if you would just be a little bit more considerate of others is not irrellevant.

The question I have is why don't you want to be helpful without attacking people virtually every time you post. And that is one you should answer for yourself.

Good luck with your popularity contest, and hopefully we'll see you around the boards helping folks out now and then. Without being rude and obnoxious.

I'm not voting because I see no point.

However, I'd like to just mention that the only connection that I have personally seen with you and being banned or being a troll has come from you directly (maybe I missed something). I don't think I've seen anyone call you a troll in a thread...or say "Ban Nataku."

That said, I do think you've been unreasonably snippety lately and I remember a time when you were very pleasant to talk to. Let's get the original guy back, huh.

I started talking to you about discus back in June. Something has changed. Maybe you have some issues that need work, but you don't come across the same as you used it. You are way more sarcastic and arugmentative than you used to be. If you need help, get it, you have too much good to contribute.

If this pi**es you off, sorry, but that's how I see it. You did bring the subject up.

information is information, knowledge is knowledge. I wouldn't stop reading these posts just because some guy was rude and obnoxious. The simple fact is that NT has been giving out good info, and someday (hopefully soon) I hope I can set up my own Discus tank, and I know I'll look through a lot of information that he has given!

With that being said, sure he could be a bit nicer, but I'd rather have correct info from someone that's rough around the edges, than getting the wrong info from a gentle, caring, loving human being :Angel:
