can't say about reefscape as he was a mod when i joined. i have seen quite a few ppl get modded in the past 1.5 years that i could not see any other reason :huh:

I think that everyone of the mods is qualified for their position and thus were "promoted" based on those abilities. Sorry you feel the opposite...

thought you might like it :evil_lol: and as i said in my OP i don't care who the mods are as i have no issues with anyone of them. and none of them abuse there power from what i have seen. unlike some other sites that shall remain nameless

My guess is that recruit people that they think would be in the same sort of mind set. When I think mods, I really don't think "cool kids", but more "A/V Club".

I also think mods have a better chance of getting banned.

I think you may be surprised how often we don't completely agree and have the complete opposite mindsets. We still work things out carefully and come to the best position after full deliberation. I think that is what makes a good moderating team--we are all very different, but can work together through legitimate discussion. In any case, since we are the deliberating body, we are held more accountable for our conduct, etc. and should be.

FWIW, I think of us more like the diversity club

the way i see it is..........mods make there friends mods. just like in real life the cool kids stick together. this site however has the best mods around. so i don't mind don't get me started on the mods on that site for little tanks.

That's not it, Scoot. We have our criteria in deciding whom to promote based on how they handle a lot of situations. Like Amphi stated, you would be surprised we also have our own various opinions but no matter, we still support each other otherwise how would we work well as a team if we keep agreeing to disagreeing and not support a final decision with matters? Also, this is what balances the team. The agreements and disagreements allow us to see more points that may have been overlooked when we discuss an issue.

I dont have friends, i have work associates....costs me less that way...and you have to have emotions to have friends, i dont possess emotions. Emotions were not coded into my software by Neo....
