The duckweed, i took out bec it blocks most of the light. However if you miss 1 piece, it will grow back. so i have some still, in both tanks...

You can do whatever makes you happy. I had a similar set up and ended up putting all the tall plants in the back, wood more horizonal, more rocks, shrimp and schooling fish. Focal point towards the middle. Planted tanks always inspire!
